Not Me
Who doesn’t remember their parents telling them to turn down their music? I do clearly. “I don’t understand why you even like that, its just a bunch of noise” its almost comical to think about it now. I was listening to my Smashing Pumpkins “mellon collie and the infinite sadness” cd. I believe the song was zero. Just a bunch of noise they said. I swore I would be more open minded when I got older. I have to say there is some sort of curse that happens to everyone as they get older, or maybe my music really was good and the music today really is as awful as it sounds. I have made that same comment about most of today’s music. Am i old? Am I turning all cratchety and closed minded. Can’t be…not me. It has to be that today’s music really is awful. lol
Well let me just quote the late-great Colonel Sanders, who said…”I’m too drunk to taste this chicken.
My inspiration
There have been many great thinkers and philosophers in our time. Many great words of wisdom to guide us whether they come from the bible, or our favorite teacher, or even the great wisdom that comes from watching Run’s house on MTV. My inspiration in great part comes from the most unlikely of sources. My two kids. I’m not the smartest person, nor the funniest, most athletic, or lets face it attractive, but do they care? My kids don’t care how much i know because they know how much I care. They don’t care what job I work as long as I come home to them at the end of the day. They don’t care what kind of car I drive as long as they can call it daddy’s race car! When I am trying to decide what decisions to make, i can think about what Jesus would do or what Mr. Kinne would say, but I always keep in mind my kids because they are the reason I do what I do.
